00:00:00: And now let's have a closer look in the crushing zone to the VMA-HDSM working together with Comtec.
00:00:08: So this is where the screened material ends up next.
00:00:11: and what's happening here?
00:00:13: Exactly!
00:00:14: In the HDSM we separate the fifteen to forty five millimetre fraction into light, heavy materials.
00:00:22: HDS stands for Hydro Density Separator – A Water Based Separation Process.
00:00:29: The key component is the freely adjustable propeller.
00:00:32: And what happens inside the machine?
00:00:35: Can you explain a little bit and can you walk us through the process?
00:00:39: Yes, the material is first screened to remove fines below fifteen millimeters.
00:00:45: It then continuously fed via a chute into the separation chamber.
00:00:50: together with process water Inside the chamber, the propeller generates an upward water flow.
00:00:57: This flow separates the material.
00:01:00: Light components are carried with overflow into drum while heavy fraction settles at bottom.
00:01:06: So just to understand there is no additional screening step in drums.
00:01:10: Correct!
00:01:11: The drum is used purely for dewatering the light fraction.
00:01:40: over a weir to the propeller, creating a closed water loop.
00:01:44: And what happens with the heavy fraction?
00:01:47: The heavy material settles in separation chamber and is discharged from finer.
00:01:56: heavy particles are removed from the settling zone by a secondary screw.
00:02:01: In addition, part of the processed water is routed over a screen to remove floating contaminants such as wood.
00:02:09: The water collected beneath this green is then pumped back into the system.
00:02:13: So you're processing C and D waste actual here?
00:02:16: What other applications could be typical?
00:02:19: The HDS series can be used for a wide range of materials including construction and demolition waste, compost oversize fractions shredded root wood and similar feed materials.
00:02:32: So thanks.
00:02:33: at the moment more than about this add their booth!
00:02:37: And now let's carry on with our last machine.
